December is one of my favorite months for photographing weddings. The weather has finally cooled off, the holidays are all a buzz, and it’s the perfect time for family and friends to gather and celebrate. Liz and Mike are a dear couple to me as we all grew up in Sarasota and went to school together. It’s so sweet to be able to document their wedding all these years later. I’m truly blessed to have photographed about ten people’s wedding from my high school, it’s really cool to see us all grown up! Liz is one of the kindest people I know and boy does she have some killer style! I was obsessed with all of her accessories. From her sapphire-studded purse to the earrings she gave her bridesmaids as gifts, all of it is classic. Mike and the guys looked dapper in their black tuxedos and boutinerres. Liz wore a stunning Maggie Sotero gown with a one-of-a-kind jacket by Pronovias. And a pair of seer sucker Cristian Louboutins to top it all off. Their colors were a beautiful mixture of apple green, navy blue, with ivory and gold accents. One of my favorite palettes to this day. One really unique detail that I’ve never seen before is the use of green apples in all of the decor. From the table number holders to decor in vases, I loved the way it looked! Their ceremony was held under a giant oak tree over looking the Sarasota Bay. Liz and Mike exchanged vows, kissed (of course), and walked back down the aisle as husband and wife under a cloud of bubbles. It really made for a great exit. Guests dined under a classic white tent complete with a black and white dance floor. I really enjoyed having the honor of photographing Liz and Mike’s wedding, it was truly fun to be a part of one of the biggest moment in their lives. Congratulations to the happy couple! Cheers!
