“Historic & Classic” Stephanie and Andrew’s Wedding – 11.10.12 – Plymouth Congregational Church & Intercontinental Hotel, Miami

One of my favorite places in Florida to photograph hands down is in the historic Coconut Grove area in Miami. Large banyan trees and ivy walls, mixed with historic Spanish stone and overgrown vegetation, it’s all so beautiful. I discovered this gem of a town when photographing the wedding of Stephanie’s Sister, Vanessa here about 3 years ago. Their family is so welcoming and loving. So now, it was Stephanie’s turn to walk down the aisle. And to top it all off, they exchanged vows in one of my top 5 favorite churches of all time. The historic Plymouth Congregational Church in Coconut Grove  It’s one spectacular site, if you are ever in the area, you should check it out. Modeled after an old mission church in Mexico, it feels like you’ve been transported to back to ancient times. The weather was a cool 70 degrees, perfect for our outside portraits. A light blue vintage Bentley transported the happy couple to The Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Miami for their reception. Stunning white orchids, warm candlelight, and dazzling purple uplighting painted the scene for the celebration. Humorous speeches, first dances, and cake cutting took place all while Stephanie and Andrew took it all in. Their wedding was a true success and I am so tickled that I was able to document their special day. Thank you!

Getting ready at Stephanie’s Parents’ house…Loving all the warm details.

And her signature hanger.

Andrew surprised her bride with vintage Gucci bracelets that she’s been eyeing…

And topping it all off with non other than Chanel perfume.

Her stunning Vera Wang gown fit her like a glove.

Her gorgeous brides maids doing their final touches for their dear friend.

A beautiful moment…

Arm in arm with her Father as they make their way to the car.

En route…

The Plymouth Congregational Church…it’s even more awesome in person.

Stephanie’s younger Sister with her flower girl, so adorable!

Andrew and Stephanie.

And here in this glorious window light…so simple and pretty.

This gorgeous image was photographed by my talented assistant Jessica Friend. I could stare at this for hours.

The ladies…

…and gents.

Jessica captured these groomsmen perfectly.

Sweet little ones.

Stephanie exudes this calmness about her. With her deep brown eyes and hair, she is truly a classic.

She and her Father about to walk down the aisle, such a special moment.

Something about this image warms my heart. You could say she’s just blinking, but I think she’s taking it all in.

The dramatic lighting and warm candlelight made for the perfect ceremony.

Traditional ringing of the church bells.

And onto photographing this fabulous wedding party.

Loving the way Andrew is looking at her here.

It’s a fact: they can’t take a bad photo!

Toast to the happy couple!

One of my favorite sequences of Andrew helping Stephanie into the car…

And off the the reception!

And what a beautiful one it was…

Can’t get enough of these tall white orchids.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Salgueiro!

So sweet.

Another favorite from Jessica…Stephanie posing for her audience. This is just fabulous.

Cake cutting.

And final impromptu fireworks over the Miami intercostal to top the celebration off.
