The weather on Krista and Justin’s wedding day was not looking hopeful. The forecast called for lots of wind and thunderstorms and with everything being on the beach, it was looking like we were needing to go to “plan B”. But, life is funny and weather reports can be wrong, which is luckily what happened here. Not only did the skies open and sun come out, but Krista and Justing were treated to one stunningly gorgeous sunset. Something I believe was a blessing meant specifically just for them. Jessica and I started off the day greeting Krista and her ladies at The Ritz-Carlton where we began photographing all the lovely details. She’s, sachets, perfume, I love it all! Just after Krista was officially ready, we headed downstairs to photograph Krista and Justin’s first moment of seeing each other that day. Gray clouds still glooming overhead, we all headed to The Ritz-Carlton Beach Club where the ceremony and reception were to take place. A simple bamboo altar with a white shear sat amongst the pure white sand. White wooden chairs lined in front of it patiently awaiting the beginning of the ceremony. Just as we headed onto the beach for pre ceremony portraits, the clouds disappeared and the sun came out. Jessica and I let out a huge sigh of relief and quickly adjusted our ISO’s. (Photography lingo, sorry.) From that point on, everyone’s hearts, including the bride and groom, were lifted. It was going to be beautiful! Amazing sunset portraits were captured just after the ceremony as guests enjoyed cocktails a few steps away. Krista and Justin had one beautiful and blessed wedding day and I’m so thankful we had the honor of documenting all the wonderful memories that unfolded. Congratulations to the happy couple!
